The story is about a man and his wife who relocated at their native rural Southern hometown and got infiltrated by some locals who have previous connections with the girl. Amy, portrayed on screen by Kate Bosworth comes back with her spouse David, acted by James Marsden, to their native place for a new life.
There they met with Charlie who was the ex-boyfriend of Amy in school days. Charlie and his group members are hired by David to repair the roof of their home. From then Charlie started teasing Amy which she ignored in beginning but protested when it goes over.
Seeing the condition, David fired the group before the work. When Charlie founds that he can’t gain Amy, he decided to take her violently and banged the house with gun along with his group members. The story is all about the fight to save life from the maniacs.
